Dog Rescued From River Near Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Two-Hour Operation

A frightened dog stranded in a river near the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai was rescued on Sunday morning after a coordinated two-hour operation. The joint rescue effort involved personnel from the Kasturba Marg police, Borivli police, and the Mumbai Fire Brigade.
The incident began at approximately 10:00 AM when the police control room received a call reporting that the dog was trapped in the river and unable to climb out.
In response to the call, police personnel initiated swift action. Assistant Police Inspector Yuvraj Inamdar, Head Constable Pravin Ahire, and other members of the Beat Marshal Team-2 immediately rushed to the location.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers assessed the situation and determined they needed specialized support. They requested assistance from the Mumbai Fire Brigade to carry out the rescue operation.
Fire brigade officials soon arrived at the spot to join the police officers. Together, the teams worked for two hours to reach the stranded animal. Despite the challenging conditions, the responders managed to secure the dog and bring it safely back to land.
