Driver Booked for Wrong-Side Driving and Hitting Motorcyclist at Lower Parel

The N.M. Joshi Marg Police have registered a First Information Report against a 22-year-old man for allegedly driving a four-wheeler on the wrong side of the road and colliding with a two-wheeler at Curry Road Naka in Lower Parel.

According to police officials, the collision occurred on August 21 at approximately 9:40 pm. The accused, identified as Rishabh Pintu Samar, was allegedly operating a car with registration number MH 43 X 4381 against the flow of traffic when he crashed into a motorcycle, damaging the vehicle.

The complainant, identified as 33-year-old Siddharth Jaiswar, a resident of Link Road in Dharavi, subsequently approached the local police station to report the incident.

Following the complaint, the N.M. Joshi Marg Police registered an FIR on August 22 at around 6:05 am. The case was filed under Sections 281, 125, and 324(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police officials confirmed that a notice under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been served on the accused driver. Sub-Inspector N.V. More is handling the investigation as inquiries continue into the incident.
