Dug-Up Footpath Near Ishwar Bhawan on Erskine Road Left Unrepaired for Months

A pedestrian footpath located near building 200/216, Ishwar Bhawan, situated after Erskine Road, has remained dug up for months after municipal work was undertaken in the area.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had previously carried out excavation work along the stretch related to a water connection or an inspection. However, once the underground utility work was completed, the civic body failed to resurface and restore the footpath to its original condition.

The prolonged neglect has left the walkway in a damaged state, creating persistent trouble for local residents and commuters who rely on the stretch daily. Pedestrians have raised concerns that the broken surface poses serious inconveniences and safety hazards, especially for those navigating the area on foot.

Locals have expressed frustration over the delay in road and pavement restoration, urging civic authorities to address the pending repairs and resurface the dug-up section to prevent accidents and restore pedestrian access.
