Dumper Hits Mrinaltai Gore Flyover in Oshiwara, Barrier Falls on SV Road

A major mishap was averted in Oshiwara on Friday afternoon after a portion of the vision barrier on the Mrinaltai Gore flyover extension collapsed onto SV Road below when a dumper rammed into the structure.

The incident occurred between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm on the arm of the flyover leading towards Relief Road in Oshiwara.

The crash took place when the dumper was negotiating a sharp curve along the elevated stretch. The heavy vehicle allegedly lost control and rammed directly into the flyover wall and the attached vision barrier.

The impact dislodged a section of the vision barrier, causing the debris to fall from the elevated bridge onto the busy SV Road underneath.

Video footage recorded after the crash showed the damaged dumper on the flyover alongside the broken section of the barrier. The visuals indicated that the vehicle appeared to lose control near the sharp turn before striking the wall and barrier.
