EOW books Metropradhan Infrasolutions in Rs 10.17 crore Andheri East cheating case
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against M/s Metropradhan Infrasolutions Pvt. Ltd. and four of its directors and officials for allegedly cheating another firm of over Rs 10.17 crore. The alleged offence took place at Technosoft House, situated in the MIDC Industrial Estate in Andheri (East), Mumbai.
The case has been registered at the MIDC police station under Sections 316(5), 318(4), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The legal action was initiated following a complaint lodged by Rajesh Krishna Sethi. Sethi represents M/s Shivale Infraproducts Pvt. Ltd., a company engaged in the manufacturing of metal scaffolding, formwork, and related infrastructure equipment.
According to the police complaint, Shivale Infraproducts had supplied 801.58 metric tonnes of scaffolding and related infrastructure material to Metropradhan Infrasolutions Pvt. Ltd. on a rental basis. Out of a total rental agreement amount of Rs 11.70 crore, the accused company allegedly failed to pay Rs 4.29 crore, which remains outstanding.
In addition to the unpaid dues, the complainant alleged that 348.1 metric tonnes of the rented infrastructure material, valued at Rs 5.88 crore, was not returned. Rather than returning the material to its rightful owner, the accused company allegedly rented the scaffolding out to other third-party companies and retained the rental income for its own benefit.
This failure to pay the rental dues and return the equipment resulted in a total estimated wrongful financial loss of Rs 10,17,73,857 to the complainant company, M/s Shivale Infraproducts Pvt. Ltd.
The accused individuals named in the FIR alongside the company M/s Metropradhan Infrasolutions Pvt. Ltd. are Kundan Kumar, Babita Shrivastav, Ashish Kumar, and Amar Shrivastav. Assistant Police Inspector Morshareel Patel of the Mumbai Police Economic Offences Wing is currently conducting the investigation.
