Expired Food Packets Found at Aundha Govt School in Hingoli, Claims Abhijeet Dipke
Expired food packets intended for students were discovered at a government-run school in Aundha in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder and student activist Abhijeet Dipke alleged on Saturday.
Dipke made the discovery during a visit to the school as part of his ongoing “School Thik Karo” campaign, which aims to inspect and highlight conditions across state-run educational institutions.
According to Dipke, the food packets found on the school premises had passed their expiration date months earlier. He pointed out that while the items had expired in February, they were still kept at the school as September approached.
Questioning the standards maintained for underprivileged students, Dipke criticized the authorities over the quality of provisions supplied to government institutions. He asked whether children of ministers would ever be served food from expired packets, arguing that students from economically weaker backgrounds should not be subjected to substandard or unsafe food supplies.
In addition to the issue of expired food, Dipke highlighted multiple infrastructural deficiencies at the Aundha school. He reported that basic water facilities were severely compromised, pointing out a non-functional drinking water filter on the premises.
Dipke also noted a complete lack of water supply in the school’s bathroom facilities, raising further concerns regarding hygiene and the overall learning environment provided to students at the facility.
