Fadnavis Defends E20 Petrol Policy, Says No Evidence of Vehicle Damage

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday defended the Central Government's ethanol blending policy while speaking in Kolhapur, rejecting criticism surrounding E20 petrol and stating that there is insufficient evidence to support concerns.
Addressing the row over the blending policy, Fadnavis noted that automobile companies had explicitly invited consumers to submit proof if their vehicles developed mechanical issues due to ethanol-blended petrol. However, he stated that no one has come forward with such evidence so far.
The Centre has maintained that E20 petrol shows no evidence of causing abnormal engine wear, corrosion, or reduced vehicle lifespan in automobiles.
