Father and Son Attacked With Koyta in Nalasopara East, One Critical

A father and his son were allegedly attacked with a sharp koyta by two men in broad daylight on a busy road in the Shriramnagar area of Nalasopara East on Sunday afternoon. The incident, which took place at approximately 1:30 pm, has left one victim in critical condition and sparked fear among local residents.
The victims have been identified as Sheru Khan and his son Atik Khan. According to preliminary information regarding the incident, the father and son had reportedly gone to the location to question the accused men over the alleged harassment of girls in and around a madrasa operating in the area.
During the confrontation between the parties on the street, the two accused allegedly assaulted both Sheru Khan and Atik Khan using koytas, which are sharp sickle-like weapons. The violent assault unfolded in broad daylight on the busy road.
Immediately following the attack, both injured men were rushed to ICS Hospital in Nalasopara to receive medical treatment. Medical reports indicate that Atik Khan sustained severe injuries and his condition remains critical, whereas his father, Sheru Khan, is currently in a stable condition.
The two accused attackers have been identified by authorities as Ajju and Azim. Both suspects are reportedly residents of the same area in Nalasopara East. Following the broad-daylight assault, both Ajju and Azim allegedly fled the scene to evade capture.
The entire violent incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed along the road, creating an atmosphere of fear and panic among the residents of Shriramnagar.
Following the event, the Pelhar Police registered the case and launched an active search operation to locate and arrest the two fleeing accused. Officers from the Pelhar Police station are currently conducting a detailed further investigation into the assault and the events leading up to it.
