FDA Revokes Licence Suspension of Five Eateries at MCA BKC After High Court Order

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has revoked the suspension of food licences of five eateries located at the Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) premises in BKC, Mumbai.

The decision comes following a directive from the Bombay High Court after the MCA challenged the initial regulatory action taken against its food outlets.

The FDA had previously suspended the licences of all five establishments on August 21, citing several food safety and hygiene deficiencies detected during an earlier inspection.

Following the Bombay High Court's intervention, food safety officials conducted a fresh inspection of the premises. The re-evaluation determined that the eateries met "exemplar standards (A plus Grade)", paving the way for the revocation of the suspension orders.

With the regulatory clearance in place, all five eateries at the MCA BKC facility are now set to resume their regular operations.
