FDA Suspends Food Licence of MCA BKC Facility in Mumbai

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food business licence of the Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) facility in BKC, Mumbai, forcing all restaurants and food services on the premises to shut until further notice.

The regulatory action was taken on Saturday as part of a broader enforcement drive led by FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe against food safety violations across Mumbai.

While the MCA facility in Bandra Kurla Complex continues to host sporting activities, its dining operations and beverage services have been completely halted following the suspension of the food permit.

The FDA has stated that specific details regarding the inspection and violations discovered at the MCA facility will be formally shared with the media on Monday.

Following the suspension on Saturday, inquiries made at the BKC facility revealed that no concerned official from the club was available on site to provide an explanation or comment regarding the FDA's enforcement action.
