FDA Suspends Licences of Three Domino's Outlets in Mumbai

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspended the licences of three Domino’s Pizza outlets in Mumbai on Wednesday following food safety inspections. The affected branches, operated by Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd, are located in Vile Parle West, Borivali West, and at R-City Mall in Ghatkopar West.

During the inspection at the Vile Parle West outlet, regulatory officials cited multiple compliance and sanitation issues. Shortcomings identified by inspectors involved the display of the FSSAI licence, potable water testing, food storage conditions, pest control protocols, and hygiene facilities.

The action against the Domino's locations forms part of a broader regulatory enforcement effort across the state. Under the “Safe Food, Safe Maharashtra” campaign, the FDA has launched a major statewide crackdown aimed at ensuring compliance across various establishments.

According to officials, the ongoing inspection campaign targets multiple sectors within the food industry, including major chain restaurants, hotels, dhabas, dairies, sweet shops, and food manufacturers.
