FDA Suspends Marian Hotel Licence in Dadar West Over Severe Hygiene Violations

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food licence of Marian Hotel & Restaurant located on Gokhale Road in Dadar West following the discovery of severe hygiene and food safety violations.

During an inspection of the Dadar West establishment, authorities found multiple major health risks throughout the premises. The kitchen was found to be infested with cockroaches, and heavily rusted utensils were being used in food preparation areas.

Inspectors also documented hazardous storage conditions, including cooked food kept directly beneath damp staircases covered in fungal growth. A damaged wall with fungal development was also present near the primary cooking area.

Following the inspection and documentation of the unsanitary conditions, the FDA moved to suspend the operating licence of the restaurant.
