FDA Takes Action Against Four Food Outlets in Goregaon, Kurla and Chembur

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken action against four food establishments across Goregaon East, Kurla West, and Chembur after recent inspections revealed serious hygiene and food safety violations.
According to an official statement, the regulatory drives were conducted as part of ongoing efforts to enforce compliance with the standards laid down in the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
During the inspection drive, food safety officials examined eateries and bakeries across the city. The FDA stated that two establishments in Chembur were among those that failed to satisfy required food safety requirements.
Inspections carried out in Goregaon East and Kurla West also uncovered safety and hygiene lapses, prompting the regulator to step up vigilance and initiate action against the non-compliant units in Mumbai.
