Fire breaks out at Cryogen Instruments office in Pachpakhadi

A fire broke out early Thursday morning, July 2, 2026, in the reception area of a private company's office on the first floor of Shreeji Arcade on Vakil Almeda Road, near Nitin Company in Pachpakhadi, Thane (West). The emergency services responded immediately to the incident, successfully containing and extinguishing the blaze with no injuries or casualties reported.
The alert was received by the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) at approximately 7:21 AM. The fire occurred inside the office of M/s Cryogen Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., a firm owned by Mr. Ashish Ganguly. The company is located on the first floor of the ground-plus-two-storied commercial building.
Upon receiving the call from the Pachpakhadi Fire Station, a multi-agency emergency response team rushed to the spot to prevent the flames from spreading further into the building. The Thane Fire Brigade deployed one fire tender and one rescue vehicle to the scene. The Regional Disaster Management Cell also dispatched staff equipped with one pickup vehicle.
To assist with safety and security operations, personnel from the Naupada Police and officials from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), also known as Mahavitaran, arrived at the building. The MSEDCL officials managed the isolation of power to the area while police secured the site.
Firefighters and disaster management personnel managed to bring the blaze under complete control, completely extinguishing it by around 8:00 AM.
While everyone inside the structure escaped unharmed, the fire caused noticeable property damage. Important office documents, a wooden desk, and other stationery items in the reception area of the office were completely gutted by the flames. Local authorities are currently inspecting the premises to determine the exact cause of the fire.
