Fire Breaks Out in 22-Storey Building in Byculla, No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out in a high-rise building on Maulana Azad Road in the Madanpura area of Byculla on Thursday afternoon. Emergency personnel immediately responded to the scene, where firefighting operations were launched. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident so far, according to fire officials.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Disaster Management Cell reported that the incident was registered at 12:24 pm. The blaze was located within the meter cabin on the first floor of the ground-plus-22-storey B Wing of Alivn Tower, situated opposite Nagori Nursing Home in Madanpura.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade categorized the event as an L-1, or minor, fire call. Firefighting personnel rushed to the location to contain the blaze and manage the situation.
Multiple emergency response and civic agencies were mobilised to the site in response to the call. These included the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police personnel, BEST officials, 108 Ambulance services, and local municipal ward staff, all working in coordination at the scene.
As of Thursday afternoon, no injuries or casualties have been reported from the building. Firefighting operations remain underway, and further details regarding the incident are awaited from authorities.
