Girls Form Human Pyramid for Dahi Handi Tribute at Parel Cha Vighnaharta Procession

Devotees gathered at the Parel Workshop gates in Parel on Sunday, August 9, for the grand Parel Cha Vighnaharta 2026 Aagman Sohala arrival procession. During the massive gathering, a group of girls formed a human pyramid to frame a Dahi Handi as a tribute to Lord Ganesha, bringing together two of Mumbai's most celebrated festival traditions.

The arrival procession drew thousands of devotees to the streets of Parel to welcome the idol. The festive atmosphere was filled with saffron flags, gulal, dhol-tasha beats, traditional music, and energetic chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya" as the deity was brought through the locality.

The 10-day festivities will officially culminate with Ganesh Visarjan on Friday, September 25, marking the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi.
