Haj Committee In Mumbai Announces New Paired Application And Refund Rules For Haj 2027

The Haj Committee of India, based in Mumbai, has officially released the guidelines, regulations, and schedules for the upcoming Haj 2027 pilgrimage, corresponding to the Islamic year 1448 Hijri. The announcement introduces several crucial updates for prospective pilgrims, including a new paired application rule and a strict timeline for cancellation refunds.

According to the new directives issued from Mumbai, pilgrims over the age of six will be classified under paired applications. This rule dictates that if one partner decides to cancel their registration, the cancellation will automatically invalidate the application of the other partner. This paired system represents a major shift in how registrations will be handled for the upcoming pilgrimage.

Prospective pilgrims who wish to undertake the journey can submit their applications online. The Haj Committee of India has made the application process available through its official portal as well as the Haj Suvidha mobile application. The announcement details strict eligibility criteria, tentative flight logistics, and a progressive cancellation fee structure designed to streamline operations for the annual journey.

For minors participating in the pilgrimage, the committee has enforced strict compliance norms. Children under the age of 15 must comply with specific regulations set by Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, any applicant under the age of 18 must secure formal parental or guardian consent before they can apply for the pilgrimage.

The committee has also cautioned applicants regarding financial penalties for cancellations. Refund deductions will increase progressively on a monthly basis leading up to the pilgrimage. The final deadline for any refund is January 2027, after which no refunds will be issued to pilgrims who cancel their registration.
