Harshwardhan Sapkal Criticises PM Narendra Modi's Independence Day Speech

Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal on Saturday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day address, stating that the speech lacked substance and urging the government to provide an account of past commitments.
Sapkal questioned whether the government had acted on the promises made during Modi’s earlier Independence Day addresses. He alleged that the Prime Minister’s speeches over the past 12 years had largely consisted of announcements rather than presenting a clear account of actual achievements.
His remarks came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort on Saturday morning to mark India's 80th Independence Day. Sapkal maintained that the central government should first give a full accounting of the promises made and delivered over the past 12 years.
