Housing society staff extinguish car fire near Walawalkar Park in Lokhandwala

A parked car caught fire and the flames quickly spread to an adjacent vehicle near Walawalkar Park in the Lokhandwala area of Oshiwara, Andheri West, late on Saturday night. The incident triggered brief panic in the locality before alert staff and fire marshals from 'The Park' housing society managed to control and extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported from the scene.
The fire broke out suddenly in the parked vehicle and within moments, the flames engulfed the car. According to local residents and video footage that surfaced on social media, the fire quickly spread to a second vehicle parked next to it. The sight of the burning vehicles led to immediate concern among residents in the neighborhood.
Upon noticing the flames, staff members from 'The Park' housing society rushed to the spot. Using the society's fire extinguishers, they worked quickly to contain and douse the blaze before emergency services arrived. This prompt action prevented the fire from spreading further and causing a major mishap.
Local social media group Andheri LOCA shared visuals of the incident on the platform X, praising the quick response of the society's staff. The group noted that the alert staff acted fast to get their fire extinguishers out and douse the flames before the situation could worsen.
