Igatpuri Tunnel on Samruddhi Expressway to Close for Fire Safety Drill on Thursday

The Igatpuri Tunnel on the Mumbai-bound carriageway of the Hindu Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg will remain closed to vehicular movement for one hour on Thursday, August 27.

The temporary closure is scheduled between 12 noon and 1 pm to facilitate a preventive fire safety drill inside the tunnel infrastructure.

During the one-hour drill period, vehicles travelling towards Mumbai will not be permitted to pass through the Igatpuri Tunnel as officials carry out the safety exercise.

Traffic moving in the opposite direction will remain unaffected by the operation. The Igatpuri Tunnel along the Nagpur-bound carriageway of the expressway will stay open to traffic throughout the duration of the drill.
