IMD Forecasts Light to Moderate Rainfall Across Thane and Mumbai

The India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall across Thane, Mumbai, and adjoining areas over a 24-hour period, accompanied by generally cloudy conditions.

According to the weather department's morning update issued at 9 am on Sunday, August 16, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy with spells of moderate rain across the city and its suburban regions.

The weather agency highlighted that rainfall was recorded across all three regions. Concurrently, collective water levels in the seven lakes supplying Mumbai reached 92.24 per cent of their total live storage capacity.

The forecast issued by the IMD indicates that the light to moderate precipitation will continue to affect Thane and neighbouring locations throughout the day.
