IMD Predicts Light to Moderate Rain Spells for Thane

Thane is expected to witness light to moderate spells of rain on Thursday, August 20, according to the latest weather forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather forecasting agency released its morning bulletin detailing expected precipitation across the region. While Thane has been forecast to receive light to moderate rainfall during the course of the day, neighbouring areas including Mumbai and Palghar are likely to experience light spells of rain.

According to the IMD's 9 am bulletin, partly cloudy skies were observed across the region in the morning. The agency indicated that partly cloudy conditions would continue alongside the predicted light rain in Mumbai and its wider suburban areas.

The forecast outlines rain activity for the coastal belt, with Thane experiencing relatively heavier spells compared to the light showers predicted for the adjacent districts.
