Indian Bar Association Urges Bombay High Court to Restore Old Website Over Glitches

On 15 July, 2026, the Indian Bar Association (IBA) urged the Bombay High Court in Mumbai to temporarily restore its previous website or operate it alongside the newly launched portal. The association raised concerns over widespread technical glitches, sluggish performance, and accessibility issues on the new platform.
The representation, which was submitted to the Acting Chief Justice, highlighted several user complaints regarding the newly launched website. According to the IBA, users have experienced slow performance, frequent crashes, poor navigation, and difficulty in accessing information on the new portal.
To address these challenges, the association has requested that both the old and new portals be run parallelly. This parallel operation is proposed to continue until the technical issues on the new website are fully resolved.
In addition to the parallel operation of the websites, the IBA has demanded a comprehensive technical audit of the new portal. The association also called for stakeholder consultations to gather feedback and address the concerns of the platform's users.
