JioHotstar to Stream Pro Govinda League Season 4 Live From Mumbai

The Pro Govinda League announced JioHotstar as its official streaming partner for its fourth edition on August 12, 2026, bringing Maharashtra's professional human-pyramid sport live to audiences across India for the first time. The league's upcoming season is scheduled to take place in Mumbai from August 25 to August 27.
The association is being managed by JioStar Creative Works, the central branded content and creative solutions division of JioStar. The agreement marks a key step in expanding the reach of the human-pyramid professional sport beyond its traditional festival roots and into a structured national broadcast environment.
The fourth edition of the league will feature 16 franchise teams and more than 3,200 athletes, known as Govindas. During the competition, participating athletes build high-intensity human pyramids reaching between five and eight levels in height within short timeframes, demonstrating strength, balance, and precise timing. The league also holds a Guinness World Record set in 2025 for erecting a 10-level human pyramid.
Over its first three seasons, the Pro Govinda League has brought together thousands of Govinda pathaks into a professional competition structure focused on athlete welfare, standardized safety rules, and athletic discipline. The league's viewership across television and digital platforms has grown steadily, rising from 700,000 viewers in its debut season to more than 7.5 million viewers during the previous season.
"When we started the Pro Govinda League, our aim was to give Govindas the recognition they deserve and help human-pyramid league grow as a professionally organised sport," said Purvesh Sarnaik, League President of the Pro Govinda League. He added that partnering with JioHotstar will allow the league to reach audiences across the entire country while showcasing the teamwork, skill, and dedication of its participating athletes.
A spokesperson for JioHotstar noted that the league transforms a deeply rooted cultural tradition into a structured sporting format that highlights athletic skill, strategy, and team spirit.
Season 4 will be streamed exclusively on the JioHotstar platform throughout the three-day competition from August 25 to August 27, 2026.
