Kalyan RTO Launches MH-05-GQ Series, Opens Window for Preferred Numbers

The Kalyan Regional Transport Office launched a new four-wheeler registration series, MH-05-GQ, on October 6, 2026, opening a designated window for vehicle owners to apply for attractive and preferred registration numbers.

Kalyan Deputy Regional Transport Officer Ashutosh Barkul announced that applications for preferred registration numbers under the fresh series would be accepted on October 6, 7, and 8.

With the introduction of the MH-05-GQ sequence, a fresh series of registration numbers has become available for cars and other four-wheelers registered through the Kalyan office. Vehicle owners who place importance on securing a specific number have been advised to complete the required formalities within the stipulated period.

The transport authority noted that applicants interested in preferred numbers must adhere to the prescribed procedure and fulfill all applicable requirements during submission. The three-day window is geared toward buyers and existing owners who are registering new four-wheelers during this phase.

The Kalyan RTO clarified that requests will only be accepted during the specified three-day timeline, making October 8 the final day to submit applications for attractive numbers under the new series. Vehicle owners have been advised to approach the office promptly to complete the process rather than waiting until the closing date.
