Kashigaon Police Arrest Female Pimp and Rescue Two Women in Mira Road East

The Kashigaon police, also known as the Kashimira police, successfully busted an active prostitution racket, arrested a female pimp, and rescued two young women near the Meraki Hotel on Ghodbunder Road in Mira Road East. The law enforcement operation, which has created a major stir in the local community near Mumbai, was executed by laying a strategic trap using a decoy customer to catch the suspect.

The crackdown on human trafficking began when Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-1) Rahul Chavan, an IPS officer, received a crucial tip-off from a non-governmental organization. The intelligence provided by the NGO revealed that a female pimp was operating near the Meraki Hotel, which is situated along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. According to the police, the suspect was sharing photographs of girls working in local orchestra bars and dance clubs with clients in order to solicit them for commercial sex.

Acting on this specific intelligence, a targeted raid was planned under the direct guidance of Senior Police Inspector Rahulkumar Patil of the Kashigaon police station. A special team from the police station was assembled to set up a trap, utilizing a decoy customer to apprehend the operator.

The police team subsequently raided the vicinity of the Meraki Hotel, where they took the female pimp into custody. During the raid, officers safely rescued the two victimized girls who had been trapped in the flesh trade.

Following the successful operation, a case was officially registered against the accused female pimp under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

The Kashigaon police are currently conducting a further investigation to uncover and identify other individuals who may be linked to this human trafficking racket. Meanwhile, the police department has issued an appeal to local citizens, urging them to immediately report any such illegal activities in their neighborhoods to the authorities.
