Lollapalooza India 2027 Line-up Announced for Mahalaxmi Racecourse
The official artist line-up for Lollapalooza India 2027 was unveiled, setting the fifth edition of the music festival to take place on January 23 and 24, 2027, at Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The festival will feature a roster of international and domestic acts performing across four distinct stages over the two-day event.
International headliners and performers announced include American rock band Limp Bizkit, pop artist Olivia Dean, girl group Katseye, Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds Of Summer, and Irish post-punk group Fontaines D.C. Several of these acts, including Olivia Dean, Katseye, 5 Seconds Of Summer, and Fontaines D.C., are scheduled to make their debut performances in India during the festival.
Additional global acts confirmed for the event include rock artist St. Vincent, Swedish electronic dance music producer Steve Angello, Japanese DJ-producer Yousuke Yukimatsu, and Stewart Copeland of The Police, who will stage a collaborative performance alongside Indian composer and producer Ricky Kej.
The domestic roster features a broad range of genres and musical styles. Singer-songwriter Anuv Jain is among the featured Indian names on the bill, joined by folk-rock and fusion band Indian Ocean, blues-rock instrumental act Blackstratblues, singer-songwriter Kayan, Rajasthani folk ensemble The Manganiyar Seduction, post-hardcore band Scribe, Gujarati folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, and fusion vocalist Varijashree Venugopal.
Despite the multi-genre programming combining indie, folk, rock, electronic, and pop acts, the reveal triggered significant disappointment among music fans on social media platforms. Multiple users criticised the selection, with one commentator labelling it the "worst lineup of all time" and another stating that the festival had "fell off so hard since last years lineup."
Other online reactions questioned the cohesion and profile of the roster. One attendee described the selection as "an absolute chaotic mess," comparing it to an eclectic shuffled playlist spanning unrelated genres, while another user remarked that the line-up appeared so unfamiliar that organisers might invite regular listeners next.
