Maharashtra and Germany's Hesse Sign MoU in Mumbai to Boost Economic Ties

Maharashtra and Germany’s Hesse state have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen economic and industrial cooperation between the two regions, with the formal signing ceremony taking place at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai on Friday.
The agreement was signed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Hesse Minister-President Boris Rhein during their meeting at the state guest house.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Fadnavis highlighted that the bilateral partnership between Maharashtra and Hesse will help drive investment, foster innovation, generate employment, and support skill development initiatives.
Fadnavis noted that ties between India and Germany are founded on trust, knowledge, trade, innovation, and strong people-to-people connections. He added that expanding state-level economic cooperation will further reinforce and strengthen the broader relationship between the two nations.
The newly signed MoU establishes a framework for both states to collaborate across key industrial and economic domains.
