Maharashtra Cancels Irregular Staff Postings, Orders Return by Sept 10

The Maharashtra government has ordered the immediate cancellation of appointments of officers and employees serving in ministerial offices and state departments who were brought in without following the prescribed procedure.

In an official circular issued on Tuesday, Chief Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal directed that all personnel brought into ministerial establishments on deputation, on a loan basis, or through oral orders must be repatriated.

The state administration has set a deadline of September 10 for all such officers and staff members to be relieved and sent back to their respective parent offices.

The directive applies to all state departments and ministerial offices across Maharashtra where staff members were placed in roles bypassing standard administrative channels and regular posting procedures.

With the issuance of the circular, departments have been instructed to ensure full compliance and return all irregularly posted personnel to their original parent cadres by the specified date.
