Maharashtra CET Cell Issues Advisory on Official Communication for Admissions

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Government of Maharashtra, operating from its headquarters at the New Excelsior Building in Fort, Mumbai, has issued an advisory directing candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses to strictly utilise official communication channels for all entrance examination and Centralised Admission Process (CAP) updates.

The directive applies to aspirants across several streams, including engineering, medical, management, law, nursing, and other professional disciplines throughout Maharashtra. The authority stated that candidates must track official announcements rather than unverified sources during the admission cycle.

According to the CET Cell, applicants should rely exclusively on the state cell's official portal for all authoritative information. This includes updates regarding entrance examination schedules, registration deadlines, merit lists, seat matrices, and counselling procedures across courses.

To assist candidates and parents throughout the process, the authority has established direct support channels. Applicants can contact the dedicated telephone helpdesk at 022-22016159 or seek assistance via email at [email protected].

The cell has urged candidates to carefully review and verify all admission guidelines and notices published on the official platform. This is intended to ensure timely compliance with mandatory document verification and registration requirements for the ongoing academic admissions process.
