Maharashtra FDA Suspends EatClub Licence, Cracks Down on Four Mumbai Units

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Wednesday cracked down on four food establishments across Mumbai, suspending the licence of an EatClub outlet following inspections that uncovered serious food safety and hygiene violations.

Inspectors identified multiple lapses during their checks, including rodent infestation, improper food storage conditions, and poor hygiene practices among staff members.

The regulatory agency suspended the licence of EatClub Brands Private Limited, situated at Royal Palms in Goregaon, after finding major non-compliance with food safety norms during the drive.

Enforcement actions were also initiated against Rani Diets Consultant and Service Providers, located at Jari Mari in Kurla, following similar inspections by the authorities.

In Chembur, the FDA targeted two bakeries for hygiene violations. Action was taken against Goodluck Bakery and Stores, situated at Little Malabar Hill, as well as Ashfaque Bakery, located at Samrat Ashok Nagar.
