Maharashtra Govt Accepts Demands of Protesting Tribal Students, Ashok Uike Says

The Maharashtra government has accepted the demands of tribal student protesters who have been staging a hunger strike across Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik, Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike announced on Saturday.
The widespread student agitation was triggered by the deaths of three tribal girls caused by snakebite at a residential school in Gadchiroli district.
Following the government's assurance of a time-bound plan to address their concerns, the hunger strike is expected to be called off.
