Maharashtra Minister Aditi Tatkare's PRO Ashish Mete Dies After Collapsing in Bhandup
A 35-year-old public relations officer working with Nationalist Congress Party leader and Women and Child Welfare Minister Aditi Tatkare died after collapsing at a residential building in Bhandup West on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ashish Anandrao Mete, a native of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Mete managed social media and public relations assignments for Minister Aditi Tatkare.
According to the Bhandup police, Mete had visited the residence of his professional partner, Dipali Prabhu, at Mayuresh Residency on LBS Road in Bhandup West for dinner on August 30. Following the meal, Mete reportedly complained of acidity and went for a walk within the building premises.
While walking, Mete suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed to the ground, sustaining a serious head injury from the fall. Prabhu immediately transported him to Navkar Hospital in Bhandup West for emergency treatment. He was subsequently shifted to Rajawadi Hospital, where medical staff examined him and declared him dead on arrival.
Authorities at Rajawadi Hospital notified the Bhandup police, who took custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination to establish the precise cause of death.
The Bhandup police have registered an accidental death report under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and launched an investigation into the incident.
According to police officials, Mete worked with Prabhu at Bazaar Solutions Private Limited, an office located at Mittal Court near Marine Drive in Mumbai. Mete lived with his family in his native place and routinely travelled to Mumbai for professional work. Police said the exact cause of death will be determined following the post-mortem report and further inquiry.
