Maharashtra Signs MoU With IIT Bombay for Public Policy and Tech Programme

The Maharashtra government signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on Saturday for a new Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Technology Development and Public Policy, scheduled to begin in the 2026-27 academic year.

The agreement was finalised during an appreciation and commencement event held in Mumbai for the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme 2026.

Speaking at the event, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the CM Fellowship Programme will introduce fresh perspectives, innovative concepts, and modern technology into the state administration.

Fadnavis urged the incoming fellows to leverage their knowledge and professional experience to drive positive change across their assigned departments and act as ambassadors of transformation.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the critical contribution of young professionals, stating that the youth will play a vital role in building a developed Maharashtra and a developed India.
