Maharashtra TET 2026 postponed after Bhiwandi Police raid uncovers paper leak

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has postponed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday, following a suspected question paper leak in Bhiwandi, Thane district. The decision was announced on June 27, 2026, after law enforcement and exam officials uncovered compromised materials.
The decision to defer the examination was taken following a joint operation conducted by the Bhiwandi Police and examination authorities. During a raid in Thane district, police uncovered suspects who were allegedly in possession of questions matching the actual examination paper.
Upon reviewing the seized materials, examination authorities confirmed that several of the recovered questions were identical to those prepared for the June 2026 examination. To prevent the compromised exam from taking place, the MSCE decided to postpone the test.
