Maharashtra Works to Trace 67 Citizens Missing After Nepal-Tibet Floods

The Maharashtra government has stepped up efforts to trace and establish contact with 67 citizens from the state who remain unreachable following the devastating floods that struck the Nepal-Tibet region on August 26, 2026.

According to details shared by the Maharashtra State Disaster Management Department, a total of 405 citizens from the state were affected by the natural disaster and the subsequent disruption caused to travel and communication networks in the region.

Out of the total affected individuals, 262 citizens have safely returned home to the state.

State disaster management authorities are continuing their operations and outreach to establish communication with the remaining 67 residents and ensure their safe return amid disrupted local networks.
