Man Arrested After Slitting Wife's Throat Near Oshiwara Traffic Signal
The Oshiwara Police on Tuesday evening arrested a man who allegedly murdered his wife during a domestic dispute near a traffic signal in the Adarsh Nagar area of Oshiwara, Andheri West. The fatal incident took place at approximately 6:30 PM, occurring nearly 100 meters away from the Oshiwara Police Station.
According to the police, the couple earned their livelihood by begging in the local area. On Tuesday evening, a violent quarrel broke out between the husband and the wife. Authorities stated that both individuals were allegedly under the influence of alcohol when the physical altercation began.
During the dispute, the husband allegedly became enraged and attacked his wife. He first hit her with a stone and then slit her throat with a knife. After committing the crime, the accused fled the spot.
Bystanders quickly gathered at the scene, where the woman was found lying in a pool of blood. Police officers rushed to the location and transported the victim to Cooper Hospital. However, she was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
