Man Brutally Assaults Woman on Dadar Railway Station Tracks

A video showing a man brutally assaulting a defenceless woman on the railway tracks at Dadar railway station in Mumbai has sparked widespread public outrage. The incident, which came to light after footage of the assault went viral on social media, prompted the Mumbai Police to alert the Government Railway Police (GRP) Mumbai to initiate an investigation.
The viral video shows a man dressed in a light-coloured shirt and trousers repeatedly punching, kicking, and dragging a woman wearing dark clothing. The assault took place on the gravel tracks adjacent to a station platform. At one point, the attacker is seen pulling at the woman's T-shirt, dragging her towards the end of the platform, and continuing the assault as she struggles to get back on her feet.
Throughout the ordeal, the victim appears largely defenceless and does not retaliate, while the assailant continues to rain blows on her.
One of the most shocking aspects of the incident is the apparent lack of intervention from people present at the station. The video shows several commuting bystanders standing on the rain-soaked platform watching the assault unfold. None of the onlookers visibly stepped in to stop the attacker. A train can also be seen in the background as the violent episode continues on the tracks.
The video was shared on the social media platform X by the handle @News_Corridors and quickly gained traction, leading to widespread public outrage online.
Soon after the video went viral, the Mumbai Police responded to the post on X by tagging GRP Mumbai, indicating that the matter had been forwarded to the railway authorities. However, GRP Mumbai has not issued any public statement regarding the incident. It remains unclear whether the accused has been identified, taken into custody, or booked in connection with the assault.
