Mantralaya to Host Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idol Painting Festival on September 8

Ahead of Ganeshotsav 2026, the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board, in association with the Industries Department, will host an Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idol Painting Festival at the Trimurti Courtyard at Mantralaya in Mumbai.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. During the three-hour event, citizens will receive an opportunity to paint eco-friendly Ganesh idols directly on site.

According to an official statement issued ahead of the event, the initiative is designed to raise public awareness about environmentally friendly ways of celebrating the annual Ganeshotsav festival.

The Khadi Board stated that the program also focuses on promoting sustainable materials and products across the state.

Organisers highlighted that hosting the festival helps build wider market opportunities for sustainable goods produced by rural and micro-entrepreneurs.
