Mayor Harshali Chaudhary Inspects Aadharwadi Adivasi Pada in Kalyan West

Mayor Harshali Chaudhary on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of an Adivasi Pada at Aadharwadi in Kalyan West, pulling up civic officials over the neglected state of the locality and the lack of basic amenities.

During her visit, Chaudhary walked through the settlement and interacted directly with local residents to understand their everyday grievances. Locals highlighted several long-pending civic issues, pointing out irregular water supply, frequent electricity disruptions, deteriorating internal roads, and a lack of proper sanitation facilities.

Chaudhary personally reviewed the living conditions in the settlement and expressed strong displeasure over the prevailing environment. Garbage and unhygienic conditions were observed at multiple spots across the area. Residents detailed how the absence of essential civic infrastructure has hindered their day-to-day lives.

Taking serious note of the lapses, Chaudhary questioned officials from the concerned civic departments regarding their failure to provide essential services to the settlement. She reprimanded the officials present on site and directed the administration to initiate immediate corrective steps without further delay.

Chaudhary stated that no Adivasi Pada within municipal limits should be deprived of basic amenities, warning that official negligence in delivering essential services would not be tolerated. She directed the relevant departments to restore and improve all basic infrastructure, including road repairs, water lines, electricity connections, and waste management.

The Mayor instructed officials to ensure that all identified civic issues are resolved before her next scheduled inspection of the locality.

The surprise visit has raised expectations among local residents, who expressed hope that the intervention will lead to prompt action on long-standing infrastructure demands and visible improvements in sanitation throughout the settlement.
