Men Bathing in Navi Mumbai APMC Women's Toilet Raises Access Control Concerns

A toilet facility designated for women at the Navi Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Navi Mumbai is being used by men, raising concerns over monitoring and access control at the wholesale market.

Video footage from the complex revealed men bathing and washing clothes inside the bathroom reserved for female users. Men were also documented exiting the designated women's facility.

The access control lapse is particularly serious within the APMC's vegetable and fruit markets. Facilities in these areas remain operational around the clock to cater to the constant movement of traders, workers, transporters, and customers.

The non-stop activity at the wholesale hub has highlighted ongoing challenges in maintaining supervision over public amenities designated for women.
