MHB Colony Police Bust Hydroponic Cannabis Setup in Borivali West, Arrest Electrician

The MHB Colony Police have arrested a 30-year-old electrician after uncovering an indoor hydroponic cannabis cultivation facility operating out of a residential property in Ganpat Patil Nagar, Borivali West.

The accused has been identified by authorities as Babbu Sonu Kamat, a resident of Gully Number 4 in the Ganpat Patil Nagar area. According to police, Kamat, who works as an electrician and wireman, had been cultivating cannabis inside his home using specialised hydroponic techniques and had also acquired the contraband for sale.

The operation took place after law enforcement personnel received specific intelligence regarding the illicit farming setup. Acting on the tip-off, a police team executed a targeted raid on the premises located near the Jeevdani Mata Temple at around 12:10 am on August 15.

During the search of the house, officers discovered and seized live cannabis plants, quantities of dried hydroponic cannabis, and a complete apparatus used for indoor cultivation.
