Missing 39-Year-Old Karjat Man Found Safe on Hilltop After Community Search

A 39-year-old man from Dahivali Indiranagar in Karjat was found safe on Sunday after going missing from his home on Saturday night, following a coordinated search by local police, friends, and area residents.
Hemraj Pradeep Shinde had left his residence around 9pm on August 29 without informing anyone in his family. His sudden disappearance sparked widespread concern among relatives after he left behind a note reading “last greetings to my family”.
Following his disappearance, Karjat police launched an investigation and examined CCTV footage across the area to track his movements. Concurrently, Shinde’s friends circulated messages and information regarding his disappearance across WhatsApp groups. The online appeal prompted several local residents to step forward and actively participate in the search operation.
Search teams eventually located Shinde on a hilltop situated around three kilometres away from his home. A police officer confirmed that Shinde was found safe, though he appeared visibly disturbed, noting that family issues were behind the incident.
After his safe recovery, Shinde was handed over to his family members. Karjat police commended the community effort, extending their thanks to local residents, WhatsApp group members, and group administrators who aided the search by rapidly sharing the appeal and helping locate him.
