Motorist drags petrol pump supervisor on car bonnet after row in Borivali East

A motorist was detained by the Kasturba Marg police after he allegedly hit a petrol pump supervisor with his car, dragged him on the bonnet, and rammed into other vehicles following a dispute in Borivali East, Mumbai, late Sunday.

The confrontation at the petrol pump reportedly began over an argument regarding the motorist's brother, who had been fired from his job at the same petrol pump last month. The motorist arrived at the fuel station and entered into a heated altercation with the supervisor on duty.

According to the police, the dispute escalated rapidly when the motorist attempted to run over the supervisor with his car. In an effort to protect himself, the supervisor held on to the bonnet of the moving vehicle. The motorist did not stop and dragged the supervisor for a short distance across the petrol pump premises.

During the incident, the motorist also lost control of the vehicle and rammed into several other vehicles that were parked at the pump. The Kasturba Marg police were immediately alerted about the chaotic situation at the site.

Upon arriving at the petrol pump, police officers took the motorist into custody. He was subsequently detained and sent for a medical examination. Police officials stated that the medical test will show whether the motorist was inebriated at the time of the altercation.

The Kasturba Marg police confirmed that they are in the process of registering a First Information Report (FIR) against the motorist.

According to investigators, the accused motorist is employed at an automobile showroom, and the vehicle involved in the incident belongs to him. The condition of the supervisor and the extent of the damage to the other vehicles at the petrol pump were not immediately detailed by the police.
