MPSC Cancels Drug Inspector Recruitment Over Exam Malpractice

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has cancelled the recruitment process for Drug Inspector Group-B posts under the Food and Drug Administration Department following a preliminary inquiry into alleged malpractice in the screening examination.

The examination for the Group-B positions had been conducted earlier this year before coming under scrutiny over allegations of irregularities and paper leak concerns.

The commission decided on Tuesday to scrap the previous process and conduct a fresh examination for all candidates.

According to the commission, the decision to hold a new examination was necessary to ensure that every candidate receives a fair and equal opportunity and to protect overall confidence in its recruitment process.
