MRVC Completes 28 Foot Overbridges Under Rs 551-Crore MUTP-III Trespass Project

The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC) announced on Sunday that it has completed all assigned works under its scope for trespass control measures across the mid-sections of Mumbai’s suburban railway network under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project-III (MUTP-III).

Sanctioned at a total cost of Rs 551 crore, the infrastructure safety project has now achieved 100 per cent physical progress, according to an official statement issued by the railway corporation.

The finished works under the project scope include the construction of 28 new foot overbridges (FOBs), along with extensions to existing bridges, dedicated linkways, a subway, and extensive boundary fencing designed to prevent commuters and pedestrians from trespassing onto active railway tracks across the suburban network.
