Mukesh Khanna Trolled as Shameless After Starring in Ad With Samay Raina

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, a prominent figure in Mumbai's entertainment landscape, has faced intense public backlash and online trolling after starring in a commercial with comedian Samay Raina. The unexpected collaboration has sparked widespread accusations of hypocrisy against the actor, who is best known for portraying India's iconic television superhero, Shaktimaan.

The online controversy erupted after the advertisement was shared by Samay Raina on social media platforms. The release of the commercial followed the launch of the second season of Raina's popular YouTube show, "India's Got Latent."

Upon seeing the advertisement, netizens reacted with anger and disbelief, calling Khanna "shameless" for his participation. Many social media users expressed their disappointment by commenting "Shaktimaan bik gaya," which translates to "Shaktimaan has sold out."

The backlash stems from the fact that Khanna had previously launched harsh public attacks against Raina. Just months before appearing in the commercial together, Khanna had strongly criticized Raina over the content of "India's Got Latent." During his criticism, Khanna had even suggested that the comedian deserved to be "paraded on a donkey" because of the show.

Because of this dramatic shift, members of the public have questioned the sincerity of the veteran actor's original moral stance. Many online users are now debating whether Khanna’s previous outrage was genuine or if it was simply a play for attention.

Neither Mukesh Khanna nor Samay Raina has responded to the wave of online criticism surrounding the advertisement.
