Mumbai Cha Raja to Celebrate 99th Ganeshotsav With Pandharpur Wari Theme

The spirit and devotion of the Pandharpur Wari will take centre stage in Mumbai as the iconic Mumbai Cha Raja mandal prepares for its 99th Ganeshotsav celebration for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026.
Marking its 99th year, the mandal will feature a massive 22-foot Ganesh idol. The grand setup will be complemented by elaborate decorations inspired by Maharashtra's rich devotional heritage, bringing the revered annual pilgrimage tradition directly to devotees visiting the pandal.
The upcoming celebrations will incorporate key elements of the Wari, from the chants of the Warkaris to the widespread devotion surrounding Lord Vitthal. The visual and thematic elements across the mandal will highlight the long-standing traditions, saints, devotional music, and spiritual culture deeply rooted in the Wari pilgrimage.
Organisers have focused the 99th edition on honouring Maharashtra's cultural and spiritual identity. The setup aims to recreate the atmosphere of the Wari through artistic depictions and devotional themes surrounding the 22-foot idol.
With preparations underway for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, the 99th year of Mumbai Cha Raja stands out for its homage to the state's centuries-old pilgrimage culture and devotion to Lord Vitthal.
