Mumbai Doctor Milind Chitley Missing After Nepal Flash Floods

The family of Mumbai-based doctor and mountaineer Milind Chitley is awaiting news and praying for a miracle as search operations continue following destructive flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border region.
Dr Chitley has been missing since the flash floods struck the border area on Wednesday. At the time of the incident, he and his wife, Janhavi, were leading a 61-member Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage group made up of devotees from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra.
According to Dr Chitley's sister, the group was present at an immigration centre located on the Tibet border when disaster struck. The building was engulfed and completely washed away by the sudden surge of floodwaters.
Rescue and search operations remain underway in the region, with ongoing efforts being carried out at locations including the Trishuli Center in Nepal's Nuwakot district.
Family members and relatives in Mumbai continue to hold onto hope as emergency teams work through the affected areas to locate the missing doctor.
