Mumbai Doctors Correct Six-Year Spinal Deformity in 32-Year-Old Hingoli Man

Doctors at Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai have performed a corrective spine surgery on a 32-year-old man who lived with a severe spinal deformity for nearly six years. The patient, Shivraj Mahadeo Javane, traveled from Hingoli in Maharashtra to receive treatment at the medical facility.

Javane was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2021. The condition resulted in a severe forward curvature of his spine, which progressively affected his posture, balance, and mobility, making routine daily activities increasingly difficult.

Due to the advanced deformity, Javane experienced long-term physical challenges. The spinal curvature made it hard for him to stand upright, walk, sleep, bend, or look straight ahead prior to undergoing the corrective surgery at the hospital.
